Blog Blog Blog...

Ok, so I'm not very good at keeping people posted, or blogging.  My birthday was this past Wednesday! It was a good day, but I'm not going to lie, it was a bit difficult being in a new place and not having my family around.  I thought it wouldn't have been a big deal, since I already did my birthday in a new place in college.  It wasn't quite the same.  I had a great day though! I have made some really sweet friends out here in Redding!  Me and some girls that will be joining me in 1st year at Bethel went to the lake, and the girl I'm currently staying with joined us as well!  Then all of us and some more went to Olive Garden for dinner!

This transition has been a bit of a challenge.  I've had a bit of a hard time this week, but God is so good and SO faithful!  He knows my needs, all of them, and is so near.  One thing I love that they do at Bethel is when they take up the offering they read these declarations.  They are so awesome, I need to see if I can get my hands on what all it says and post it.  But they are declaring and abundance to come into our own lives so we are able to give it away! I love it, I want to be in a place where I can give whatever, whenever.  I'm declaring that to be the case soon!

One thing that God has really highlighted this year and is repeating so much here now is about declaring truth over our lives!  This has been huge for my time out here, because frequently my mind is bombarded  with the, "I'm not really suppose to be here and that I'm not going to get the money I need to support myself, etc."  Stupid enemy! God has totally called me to be here, and that totally shows in how he has ALREADY provided!  But declaring truth has been huge to keep my heart central and to really know the heartbeat of God.  Steve Backlund, one of the pastors at Bethel has written some awesome books on declarations.  Earlier this year I read his Ignite Your Faith in 40 Days.  It is incredible, easy daily read with declarations you make over yourself daily.  He has spoken 3 times since I've been out here and it isn't by coincidence!  God is trying to make it clear that I need to declare truth over myself DAILY!!! Also, my cousin Matt and his wife Ang just finished their Belief Project which is a mini "book" that fits in your back pocket packed with TRUTH about our identities in Christ and how to remain obsessed with the Father!  The book is a weapon and meant to be one for us to remain in who God created us to be.  Check out these tools and I dare you to just read Ephesians 1 over yourself daily...it will rock your world!

This weekend I've been inspired to go, as they call it here, yard selling.  Not to garage sales, to yard sales.  Funny.  I found some steals!!! For $25 I got: coffee pot, toaster, microwave, 2 bar stools, pretty new pots and pans, silverware tray, and small trash can! I'm pretty pumped about it!  We move into our place on Wednesday and I'm so excited, one to have a place to call my own, and two to get to live with my awesome roomies!!
